Reporting is underway, but in the meantime here's the first video from the trip.
*Update - Report is finished and the second video is now also online.
In August we spent two weeks roadtrippin' from Alberta over to Vancouver Island. The main target was to try to see orcas, but the route would also throw in some opportunities for other wildlife including bears, marmots, birds and even a few snakes. How did we get on? Click here.

Video 2 - Herping Okanagan Country - online
Video 3 - Orcas, Humpbacks and Garters - online
Short on herps and short on birds. Worth reading? Probably not - but here's a link to the report anyway.
Report is not yet complete, but as usual here's a crudely assembled video for starters.
It's taken a solid month to finally put something on my webpage - better late than never I guess. November's trip to Costa Rica was brilliant, the only problem was that I didn't stay long enough. There's still a whole mess of species that I haven't spotted yet, so I'm already itching to get back over there when I can!
Anyway - here's the link to the report!
Additionally, my laptop has decided that playing videos is just a step too far, therefore I'll have to edit and upload my vids in the New Year if possible - which is a shame as currently the report seems a bit unfinished. Ah well, nothing I can do about it now - Update: videos are now online.
Happy holidays y'all
Just got around to throwing together a few videos from the last couple of years. All are now available on my youtube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWWPC95lUBMiRcJfFzqt8og/videos
PS - If anyone can recommend some decent (and simple) video editing software please let me know!

A few local herps spotted last week - thought I'd share my observation of two adders side by side, only for one of them to slink off into the grass revealing he'd been sitting on a slow worm!
